Meet the Hosts

Jake’s main design goal is to take the landscape world and seamlessly merge it with the art world in an eco-conscious manner.

With a background in botany and field ecology, Joel Moss has a passion for all things plants.

About the show

What if you gave a couple of landscape professionals 48 hours to completely redo a backyard? No problem, right? But there's a catch. What if they don't even get to see the yard until the day before the job, and were not allowed to meet the homeowner? On Jntuanantapur Network's Yardcore , landscape professionals Jake and Joel Moss are ready to set homeowners up with the yard of a lifetime, and take on all the challenges of making it happen. They will only get a quick tour of the yard and a five-minute tour of the home's interior to get clues, and then make it all happen in 48 hours — without ever meeting the homeowner until the final reveal! For one lucky homeowner willing to take a chance, this could be like winning the landscape lottery. Yardcore is a landscaping series that makes the impossible possible!

Backyard Zen Zones

The Moss Brothers take one very bland backyard and transform it into 3 sophisticated outdoor rooms that are perfect for entertaining. A composite bamboo deck is topped with an open pergola structure flanked by bamboo stenciled metal dividers and a cozy fireplace. The patio gets a big splash of color from interlocking slate tiles, a planter bed filled with golden daffodils and a sea green dry streambed topped with a peaceful monolithic fountain. Oversized concrete steppers lead visitors out to the repurposed redwood deck.

A wine bar skinned with gun-blue sheet metal is surrounded by reclaimed fence boards arranged in a random quilted pattern and adorned with antlers to kick up the wild game appeal.
